إنطلاق فعاليات إسبوع القاهرة السادس للمياه غداً الأحد

ينطلق غداً الأحد فعاليات “إسبوع القاهرة السادس للمياه تحت رعاية فخامة الرئيس/ عبد الفتاح السيسى رئيس الجمهورية واشار الدكتور سويلم وزير الموارد المائية والرى أن إسبوع القاهرة للمياه يجمع العديد من المختصين فى مجال المياه من جميع دول العالم ، مشيرا لسعادته بمشاركة جنوب أفريقيا فى إسبوع القاهرة ,حيث التقى بديفيد مالوبو نائب وزير المياه والصرف الصحي الجنوب افريقي .
واكد الدكتور سويلم على العلاقات المتميزة التي تربط مصر وجنوب افريقيا على كافة المستويات ، معرباً عن حرص مصر على دعم أواصر التعاون مع مختلف الدول الأفريقية .
وتوجه الدكتور سويلم بالدعوة للجانب الجنوب أفريقي للمشاركة فى المبادرة الدولية للتكيف بقطاع المياه AWARe ، والتى تستهدف تنفيذ مشروعات للتكيف فى قطاع المياه بالدول الافريقية ، وتقديم التدريب للعاملين بقطاع المياه من الدول الإفريقية من خلال “المركز الإفريقي للتدريب وبناء القدرات في مجال التكيف مع التغيرات المناخية” والذي تم إنشاؤه تحت مظلة المبادرة ، مشيرا لتزايد إقبال الدول الافريقية على الاشتراك فى هذه المبادرة الهامة .
وأكد الدكتور سويلم أنه يتم حالياً إتخاذ الخطوات اللازمة لتوقيع مذكرة تفاهم في مجال إدارة الموارد المائية بين البلدين .
ومن جانبه .. أعرب نائب الوزير الجنوب أفريقي عن سعادته بهذا اللقاء والذي يؤكد على قوة العلاقة التي تربط كلتا الدولتين ، مؤكداً حرص بلاده على تعزيز التعاون مع مصر خاصةً في مجال الموارد المائية .
