ذكرت صحيفة”الغارديان”البريطانية أن الحكومة الإسرائيلية تواجه ضغوطات متزايدة لمقايضة نحو 230 رهينة في غزة بآلاف السجناء الفلسطينيين في السجون الإسرائيلية.
وأوضح المصدر أن جيورا إيلاند، الرئيس السابق لمجلس الأمن القومي الإسرائيلي،كان من بين الداعين إلى مقايضة نحو 5 آلاف فلسطيني،بما في ذلك مقاتلي حماس،بالرهائن المحتجزين في غزة.
كما نقل بعض أقارب المحتجزين هذه الرسالة خلال”لقاء صريح”مع رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو، يوم السبت في تل أبيب.
وأوضحت الصحيفة البريطانية أن حدة الضغوطات زادت خلال الساعات الماضية، في الوقت الذي تواصل فيه إسرائيل قصفها العنيف على غزة،والذي خلف حتى الآن أكثر من 8 آلاف قتيل.
وتخشى بعض العائلات من أن يؤدي الهجوم العسكري على غزة إلى مقتل أحبائها.وقال جاكي ليفي، الذي اختطف 3 من أقاربه:”لا نشعر أن هذه القضية تمثل أولوية بالنسبة للدولة..الحكومة انزلقت إلى السياسات التافهة”.
من جهته،ذكر زئيف شيرمان،ابن عم شاب مفقود يبلغ من العمر 19 عاما: “في كل يوم لا يتم إطلاق سراحهم فيه، يتعرضون لخطر أكبر”.
في المقابل،تؤكد الحكومة الإسرائيلية أن”إعادة الرهائن تمثل هدفا متساويا مع الهدف الآخر، وهو تدمير حماس”.
ويعتقد أن من بين الرهائن أشخاصا يحملون جوازات سفر من 25 دولة أجنبية، من بينها الولايات المتحدة وروسيا وفرنسا وألمانيا والأرجنتين وتايلاند.
وأسفرت محادثات سابقة عن إطلاق سراح 4 رهائن من النساء، في عمليتين منفصلتين.
