واشنطن تعلن أنها تستخدم أسلحة غير هجومية للبحث عن الرهائن فى غزة
أعلن مسؤول كبير في الإدارة الأمريكية أن السلطات الأمريكية تستخدم أسلحة البنتاغون غير الهجومية للبحث عن الرهائن الأجانب في قطاع غزة.
وفي حديثه عن الرهائن الذين تحتجزهم حركة حماس الفلسطينية، أكد أن الولايات المتحدة “تستخدم أسلحة غير هجومية من البنتاغون لمحاولة تحديد مكان وجودهم”.
وأضافت أن الولايات المتحدة “ستبذل كل ما في وسعها لضمان مغادرة جميع الرهائن غزة”.
وأشار إلى أن “عملية مكثفة تغطي مجالات عديدة” تجري حاليا بشأن مسألة إطلاق سراح الرهائن.
وتابع: “نأمل أن نحصل على بعض الأخبار الجيدة حول هذا الأمر قريبا، لكنها مهمة صعبة للغاية ومعقدة وتستغرق وقتا طويلا. المواطنان الأمريكيان اللذان تمكنا من المغادرة قبل أسبوعين كانتا بمثابة محاولة تجريبية لرؤية إذا كان هذا ممكنا. وهو ممكن.
وأشار إلى أن إخراج أعداد كبيرة من الأجانب من غزة سيتطلب “وقفا كبيرا للغاية” للقتال، وهو الأمر الذي تتم مناقشته بجدية ونشاط، مؤكدا أن الإدارة الأمريكية لا تعرف بالضبط عدد الرهائن الذين تحتجزهم حركة حماس الفلسطينية.
وأضاف: “في الوقت الحالي لا توجد اتفاقات، لكننا نعمل جاهدين على هذا الأمر، وإذا أمكن التوصل إلى اتفاقات فسيتم تنفيذها”.
