وجه السيد القصير وزير الزراعة واستصلاح الأراضي، قيادات الوزارة بسرعة الانتهاء من توزيع تقاوي القمح على جميع المزارعين في كل محافظات الجمهورية استعدادا لبدء موسم الزراعة خلال الأيام القليلة المقبلة، مشددا على متابعة ومراقبة منافذ البيع والتوزيع لضمان جودة التقاوي والالتزام بالأسعار المُعلنة من الوزارة.وأكد القصير، في بيان“انه سيتم محاسبة المُقصرين في ذلك، مشيرا أن القمح من المحاصيل الاستراتيجية الهامة التي تحظى باهتمام الدولة لأنه أحد محاور الأمن الغذائي.
وشدد وزير الزراعة، على التواجد مع المزارعين لتقديم الدعم الفني قبل وأثناء الزراعة للتوعية بالخريطة الصنفية وأساليب الزراعة الحديثة لتحقيق أعلى انتاجية.
وكان مجلس الوزراء قد وافق على 1600 جنيه سعراً استرشادياً لتوريد أردب القمح هذا العام، وذلك في إطار تشجيع المزارعين المصريين وتحفيزهم لزراعة وتوريد هذا المحصول الاستراتيجى
