قالت الأمم المتحدة إنه لا يزال من الممكن الوصول إلى هدف القضاء على الإيدز بحلول عام 2030، مشيرة إلى أنه تم تحقيقه من خلال مشاركة الدول الأعضاء في الأمم المتحدة في القضاء على الإيدز عام 2016، إلا أن هذا الهدف لم يتحقق نتيجة الثغرات في الإجراءات الوقائية العمليات..
