وقالت الوزارة إن شين وصف القيادة بأنها وحدة أساسية في نظام الردع “ثلاثي المحاور” ضد التهديدات الكورية الشمالية، ودعا القوات إلى “معاقبة استفزازات العدو بحزم”.“.
ويشير النظام ثلاثي المحاور إلى خطة العقاب والانتقام الكورية واسعة النطاق، وهي خطة عملياتية تهدف إلى القضاء على القيادة الكورية الشمالية في حالة نشوب صراع كبير؛ ومنصة الضربات الاستباقية “سلسلة الدمار”؛ ونظام الدفاع الجوي والصاروخي الكوري.
