مفوض الأمم المتحدة: التقديرات الحالية للقتلى فى غزة أقل من العدد الفعلى
وحذرت المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين من أن التقديرات الحالية أقل بكثير من العدد الفعلي للقتلى في غزة، حسبما ذكرت هيئة الإذاعة البريطانية.
وتقول وزارة الصحة في غزة إن نحو 20 ألف شخص استشهدوا في القطاع منذ بداية الحرب.
ونقلت صحيفة فايننشال تايمز عن مارتن غريفيث قوله: “لم نر حتى الآن ما هو تحت الأنقاض، إذ أن تقديرات نحو 18 ألف شهيد ستتغير جذرياً بعد الحفر تحت الأنقاض”.
وضرب مثالا بالزلازل التي ضربت تركيا في وقت سابق من هذا العام، عندما تضاعف عدد القتلى “في المناطق المجاورة”. وبعد عملية بحث وإنقاذ شاقة لانتشال الجثث تحت المباني المنهارة.
ومع استمرار القصف الإسرائيلي القاتل في شمال وجنوب غزة، يعتقد غريفيث أن الصراع لم يصل بعد إلى منتصف الطريق، مضيفًا: “أمامنا أسابيع وأسابيع لإنهاء هذه الحرب الوحشية”.
