فنزويلا تجرى مناورات عسكرية ردًا على "تحرك بريطانى" فى جويانا
أمر الرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو القوات العسكرية بإجراء مناورات عسكرية في شرق البحر الكاريبي، ردا على إرسال المملكة المتحدة سفينة حربية باتجاه المياه الإقليمية لغيانا.
وفي خطاب متلفز، الخميس، قال مادورو إن 6000 جندي فنزويلي، بما في ذلك القوات الجوية والبحرية، سينفذون عمليات مشتركة قبالة الساحل الشرقي للبلاد، بالقرب من الحدود مع غويانا، بحسب ما نقلت وكالة أسوشيتد برس.
ووصف مادورو الوصول الوشيك للسفينة البريطانية “إتش إم إس ترينت” إلى شواطئ غويانا بأنه “تهديد” لبلاده، معتبرا أن إرسال السفينة “ينتهك الاتفاق” مع غويانا.
وأضاف مادورو محاطا بـ12 قائدا عسكريا: “نحن نؤمن بالدبلوماسية والحوار والسلام، لكننا لن نسمح لأحد بتهديد فنزويلا”، معتبرا أن “هذا التهديد غير مقبول لأي دولة ذات سيادة”.
أعلنت بريطانيا يوم الأحد أنها ستحول مسار السفينة HMS Trent إلى مستعمرة جويانا البريطانية السابقة، في ضوء النزاع بين الدولة الواقعة في أمريكا الجنوبية وفنزويلا المجاورة حول منطقة إيسيكويبو الغنية بالنفط.
