التقى فخامة رئيس المجلس الرئاسي، رئيس اتحاد المغرب العربي، محمد المنفي، مساء اليوم الأحد بالعاصمة الغانية أكرا، فخامة رئيس الجمهورية الإسلاميّة الموريتانية، رئيس الاتحاد الإفريقي، “محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني”، وذلك في ختام زيارته ومشاركته في أعمال الاجتماع التنسيقي النصف سنوي الـ6 بين الاتحاد الإفريقي والمجموعات الاقتصادية الإقليمية والآليات الإفريقية.
وفي مستهل اللقاء، تقدم الرئيس محمد المنفي بالتهنئة لفخامة الرئيس الموريتاني، وذلك لانتخابه رئيساً للاتحاد الإفريقي، ونجاحه في إدارة الاتحاد وترأسه لجلسة اليوم مع المجموعات الاقتصادية الإقليمية والآليات الإفريقية.
كما تناول اللقاء، مناقشة انتخابات مفوضية الاتحاد الإفريقي وأحقية ليبيا في تولي مناصب عُليا وقيادية بمفوضية الاتحاد الإفريقي وبقية الأجهزة والهيئات، واتفقا على استمرار التشاور في إطار تفعيل دور الاتحاد المغاربي وتفعيل بقية مؤسسات الاتحاد الإفريقي.
