ترامب يدعم السيناتور "جيم جوردان" لرئاسة مجلس النواب.. ويؤكد: سيكون رائعا
أعلن الرئيس الأميركي السابق دونالد ترامب، أنه يدعم ترشيح النائب الجمهوري جيم جوردان خلفا لرئيس مجلس النواب المعزول كيفن مكارثي، بحسب صحيفة نيويورك تايمز.
وأعلن ترامب دعمه لرئيس اللجنة القضائية بمجلس النواب، بعد ساعات من قوله إنه مستعد لتولي منصب رئيس مجلس النواب “مؤقتا” حتى يقرر الجمهوريون من سيرأس المجلس بعد إقالة مكارثي.
وكتب ترامب في منشور على شبكة التواصل الاجتماعي الخاصة به تروث سوشال: “كان عضو الكونجرس جيم جوردان نجما قبل فترة طويلة من قيامه برحلته الناجحة للغاية إلى واشنطن العاصمة، ممثلا لمنطقة الكونجرس الرابعة في أوهايو”.
وشدد ترامب على أن الأردن رجل المهمة، قائلا: “الأردن يحظى باحترام الجميع، وهو الآن رئيس اللجنة القضائية في مجلس النواب”. كرئيس، كان لي شرف منح جيم أعلى وسام مدني في بلادنا، وهو وسام الحرية الرئاسي”، وتابع: “لديه يد ثابتة في “مكافحة الجريمة، وأزمة الحدود، والجيش، “والتعديل الثاني. جيم وزوجته بولي وعائلته رائعون – سيكون رئيسًا رائعًا لمجلس النواب، وسيحظى بدعمي الكامل”.
وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن جوردان، وهو الرئيس المؤسس لتجمع الحرية اليميني المتشدد، حصل بالفعل على دعم العديد من حلفاء مكارثي، وكذلك بعض المتشددين الجمهوريين الذين هاجموا بشدة المتحدثين السابقين في الحزب الجمهوري.
وأشارت إلى أن المعتدلين الذين يشعرون بالقلق من قرب الأردن من ترامب وبعض أعضاء المنطقة المتأرجحة يترددون في دعمه، ويقول بعض المحافظين إنهم يريدون وجها جديدا يصل إلى القيادة.
