اعتقلت الشرطة الأميركية نحو 500 متظاهر، بينهم 24 حاخاما، في مبنى الكابيتول (مقر الكونغرس) في واشنطن، أثناء احتجاجهم على الحرب الإسرائيلية على غزة، والمطالبة بوقف فوري لإطلاق النار.
وحمل المتظاهرون ملصقات تحمل رسائل مثل “فلتعيش غزة” و”نحزن على الموتى، ونقاتل كالجحيم من أجل الأحياء”.
وبحسب موقع الشرق الإخباري، مزقت شرطة الكابيتول لافتات كتب عليها “وقف إطلاق النار الآن”، فيما ارتدى المتظاهرون قمصانا متطابقة كتب عليها “اليهود يقولون وقف إطلاق النار الآن”.
وقالت شرطة الكابيتول عن الاعتقالات الجماعية: “لقد حذرنا المتظاهرين من التوقف عن التظاهر وعندما لم يمتثلوا بدأنا في اعتقالهم”.
