تنفرد محافظة شمال سيناء بمقوماتها السياحية التي لا توجد في أي مكان آخر، وتنفرد عن غيرها. وبحسب ما أعلنته مديرية السياحة بمحافظة شمال سيناء، تعتبر السياحة أحد محاور التنمية الاقتصادية الرئيسية بشمال سيناء، حيث تطل محافظة شمال سيناء على البحر الأبيض المتوسط بشريط ساحلي يبلغ طوله حوالي 200 كيلومتر. بالوزة والرمانة غرباً حتى رفح شرقاً، حيث يوجد شاطئ نخيل مميز، ومسطحات يصل عمقها إلى 20 كيلومتراً شمالاً، وجبال وأودية جنوباً.
وأوضح بيان إدارة سياحة شمال سيناء أن محافظة شمال سيناء تتمتع بالعديد من المقومات السياحية المتنوعة حيث تنتشر على العديد من المعالم الأثرية ذات القيمة التاريخية والدينية والمكونات البيئية الطبيعية (البيئة الساحلية / البيئة الصحراوية) التي تجعلها مناسبة لمختلف أنواع السياحة. مدعومة بالنشاط الاقتصادي المتنوع (الزراعي والصناعي). التعدين والمحاجر وصيد الأسماك والصناعات الحرفية البيئية والبنية التحتية الجيدة (متمثلة في الخدمات السياحية بأنواعها والخدمات الطبية / الخدمات المصرفية / خدمات الطرق والنقل / خدمات الأمن والمرور / الخدمات الإعلامية / الخدمات التعليمية التي تشمل الجامعات والمعاهد العليا ( وخاصة المعهد العالي للسياحة والفنادق بالعريش) والمعاهد والمدارس فوق المتوسطة والمتوسطة (خاصة المدرسة الفندقية الخماسية)، والتعليم العام والتجاري والصناعي والزينة والزراعي والتعليم الأساسي، المنتشرة في جميع أنحاء المحافظة، و وسائل الاتصال مع المحافظات المجاورة مثل الطريق الساحلي الدولي (رفح/العريش/القنطرة) والطريق الدولي (النفق/نخل/نويبع) والطريق المركزي في منطقة (الجفاف وبغداد وسط سيناء). ).
