أكد الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، أنطونيو غوتيريش، أن نظام الرعاية الصحية في قطاع غزة ينهار.
وبحسب مركز الأمم المتحدة للإعلام، جدد الأمين الآن، اليوم الاثنين، التحذير من انهيار النظام الإنساني في غزة، لافتا إلى أن الوضع هناك يشهد تدهورا سريعا يتجه نحو الكارثة، مع تداعياته على السلام والأمن. الأمن في المنطقة.
وقال إن “القصف الإسرائيلي المستمر على غزة يقابل بصمت مدوي من مجلس الأمن”، مشيرا إلى أن المجلس أصدر قرارا بشأن الوضع بعد أكثر من شهر. وحذر من أن سلطة المجلس ومصداقيته قد تم تقويضها بشدة، مشيرا إلى عدم تنفيذ القرار.
ووجه غوتيريش رسالة إلى رئيس مجلس الأمن قام فيها بتفعيل المادة 99 من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة -لأول مرة- منذ أن أصبح أمينا عاما للأمم المتحدة عام 2017.
وتوقع الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أن ينهار النظام العام بشكل كامل في قطاع غزة قريبا، وقد يتكشف وضع أسوأ بما في ذلك الأمراض الوبائية، مشيرا إلى أنه حث مجلس الأمن على ممارسة الضغط من أجل تجنب وقوع كارثة إنسانية. وجدد دعوته لإعلان وقف إطلاق النار لأسباب إنسانية، وأعرب عن أسفه لفشل مجلس الأمن في القيام بذلك، لكنه تعهد بعدم الاستسلام.
