حضر عدد من نجوم الفن حفل خطوبة الفنان خالد عبد السلام نائب مدير المسرح القومي. وكان من بين الحضور الدكتور أشرف زكي، النجم عمرو عبد الجليل، النجم محمد رياض، الفنان القدير ياسر صادق رئيس المركز القومي السابق للمسرح، الفنان القدير خالد الذهبي مدير المسرح القومي السابق، والفنانين الشباب محمد . صلاح آدم، ومحمود فارس، وياسر الزنكلوني، وزوجته، والفنانة رشا سامي، والمطرب أشرف علي، والمطرب مصطفى النجدي. وهنأ الجميع الفنان خالد عبد السلام واحتفلوا بخطوبته عليه.
وكان الفنان خالد عبد السلام قد شارك مؤخراً في ندوة ثقافية فنية بمناسبة الذكرى الخمسين لرحيل عميد الأدب العربي الدكتور طه حسين، وألقى قصيدة بعنوان “حوار ثوري مع طه حسين” للقصيدة الشاعر الكبير نزار قباني، والتي كتبها تأبيناً لطه حسين في إحدى قاعات جامعة الدول العربية. وفي القاهرة عام 1973، كان آخر عرض له على المسرح القومي هو العرض المسرحي «عرفت الهوى.. نفحات الحب الإلهي» الذي تصوره وأعده وأخرجه بمناسبة الاحتفال بالمولد النبوي. كما قدم ورشة عمل خلال الدورة السابقة للمهرجان القومي للمسرح المصري. في خطاب.
