سريلانكا توقف نحو 15 ألف شخص ضمن جهود مكافحة المخدرات
أعلنت الشرطة السريلانكية، الأحد، أن طواقمها ألقت القبض على نحو 15 ألف شخص، ضمن عملية واسعة لمكافحة المخدرات، نفذت على مدار أسبوع بدعم من الجيش، بحسب روسيا اليوم.
وأوضحت الشرطة أنه تم القبض على نحو 13700 شخص يشتبه في تورطهم في تهريب المخدرات، إلى جانب 1100 مستهلك سيضطرون إلى الخضوع لبرنامج إزالة السموم في مراكز الجيش.
وأوضح المصدر في بيان أن المداهمات أدت إلى ضبط 440 كيلوغراما من المخدرات، منها 272 كيلوغراما من الحشيش، و35 كيلوغراما من الحشيش، و9 كيلوغراما من الهيروين.
وقالت الشرطة إن حملتها ستستأنف اعتبارا من 27 ديسمبر الجاري، نظرا لانشغالها بضمان الأمن العام خلال فترة الأعياد.
