داخلية النمسا: الإجراءات الأمنية الاستثنائية ستستمر عقب احتفالات رأس السنة
وأكد وزير الداخلية النمساوي جيرهارد كارنر أن الإجراءات الأمنية الاستثنائية ستستمر في البلاد إلى ما بعد احتفالات رأس السنة.
وقال كارنر -في رسالة شكر يوم الاثنين لضباط الشرطة- إن احتفالات ليلة عيد الميلاد يوم الأحد جرت بطريقة هادئة للغاية، وأنه يقدر رجال الشرطة الذين تركوا عائلاتهم في هذه الليلة لتأمين البلاد.
وأضاف أنه بسبب التهديدات الحالية، عززت شرطة فيينا إجراءات الحماية في عدة أماكن، حيث تقوم قوات الطوارئ بحراسة الكنائس وأسواق عيد الميلاد.
يُشار إلى أن قوات الشرطة والوحدات الخاصة ألقت القبض، السبت، على أربعة مشتبه بهم بالإرهاب في فيينا، حيث خططوا لشن هجمات على كنائس وأسواق عيد الميلاد بالتنسيق والتزامن مع عناصر أخرى في كولونيا ومدريد.
