سجل معرض المدينة المنورة للكتاب 2024، إقبالًا جماهيريًا واسعًا ومتزايدًا منذ انطلاق فعالياته يوم 30 يوليو الماضي، حيث يُعد المعرض من أبرز الفعاليات الثقافية في المملكة العربية السعودية عمومًا، والمدينة المنورة خصوصًا، لتعزيز القراءة، وتوسيع آفاق المعرفة.
ويتوافد الزوار من عشّاق الكتاب وجمهور الثقافة على المعرض يوميًا من الساعة الثانية ظهرًا حتى الساعة 12 منتصف الليل، حيث يستمر المعرض حتى الخامس من أغسطس الجاري، ويقصده المواطنون والمقيمون، صغارًا وكبارًا، سواء من داخل منطقة المدينة المنورة أو خارجها، كما أسهمت الإجازة الصيفية للمدارس في زيادة الإقبال على المعرض.
وتكتظ أجنحة وممرات المعرض بالزوار من محبي الكتب، وعشاق الثقافة، الذين يجدون ما يبحثون عنه من عناوين الكتب والإصدارات الأدبية والمعرفية والعلمية والإسلامية، إلى جانب كتب أدب الأطفال واليافعين الصادرة عن دور نشر محلية وعربية وعالمية، حيث تشارك في المعرض أكثر من 300 دور نشر عربية وعالمية موزعة على 200 جناح، إضافة إلى مشاركة الهيئات الثقافية والفكرية الحكومية والخاصة، والمؤسسات المجتمعية المهتمة بالثقافة والجامعات.
