أصدر معالي وزير الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد الشيخ الدكتور عبداللطيف بن عبدالعزيز آل الشيخ توجيهاً لكافة أصحاب الفضيلة الخطباء بعموم مناطق المملكة بتوحيد خطبهم يوم غدا الجمعة الموافق 12 – 2 – 1446 هـ، للحديث عن مكانة العلم في الإسلام وفضله وأثره في تطور المجتمعات ونهضتها، ضمن الجهود المتواصلة لمواكبة منابر الجمعة ما يهم المجتمع ويساهم في جعل الخطاب الديني يلامس حاجة المجتمع .
ويأتي توجيه معالي الوزير بتوحيد الخطب بمناطق المملكة تزامنا مع بدء العام الدراسي، وضمن الجهود المتواصلة كي تقوم منابر الجمعة بدورها المنوط لتنمية الثقافة لدى مختلف شرائح المجتمع بما يعود عليهم بالنفع في معاشهم وآخرتهم.
وتضمن التوجيه أن تتطرق الخطب لبيان فضل العلم وأهله، وحث الطلاب على الجد والاجتهاد والمثابرة في تحصيل العلم، فهم عماد المجتمع ومستقبله، ومسؤولية الأسرة في متابعة الأبناء في تحصيلهم العلمي، ومساعدتهم بتهيئة الظروف المناسبة لهم لطلب العلم، وتربيتهم على احترام المعلمين وتوقيرهم، والمحافظة عليهم من صحبة السوء التي لها الأثر السلبي عليهم في دينهم وأخلاقهم ومستواهم الدراسي، إلى جانب تذكير المعلمين بعظم الأمانة التي على عاتقهم، وأن الله ـ عز وجل ـ ائتمنهم على أبناء المسلمين، وبيان فضلهم لتعليمهم الناس الخير.
