السفارة الهندية تحتفل بالذكرى الـ154 على ميلاد غاندى بالقاهرة
قام سفير الهند بالقاهرة أجيت جوبتي بزراعة نباتات صغيرة في حديقة الحرية التي تضم تمثال المناضل الهندي من أجل الحرية غاندي، كرمز للصداقة بين البلدين احتفالاً بالذكرى الـ 154 لميلاد زعيم استقلال الهند المهاتما غاندي في القاهرة.
وألقى سفير الهند لدى مصر، أجيت جوبتي، الكلمة الافتتاحية في الحفل. كما وضع المشاركون الزهور على التمثال النصفي لغاندي في حديقة الحرية بالزمالك، التي تم افتتاحها في الحديقة عام 2019، كما غنوا بعضًا من ترانيم غاندي المفضلة.
ومثل الفريق محمد سلطان، رئيس قطاع الحدائق المتخصصة بمحافظة القاهرة، الحكومة المصرية وقدم احترامه للمهاتما غاندي الذي يحظى باحترام واسع في مصر باعتباره رمزا للحركة المناهضة للاستعمار. وقام السفير غوبتي واللواء محمد سلطان بزراعة نبتتين صغيرتين كرمز للصداقة خلال هذه المناسبة.
حضر الاحتفال حرم السفير بريتي جوبتي، ونائب رئيس البعثة أشيش جوبتي، ورئيس السفارة جوهون كيركيتا، وزوجات الدبلوماسيين الهنود، وأعضاء جمعية الصداقة المصرية الهندية، وأعضاء الجالية الهندية في مصر. مصر.
