مصرع شخص وإصابة 93 آخرين جراء زلزال غرب أفغانستان الأخير
أدى الزلزال القوي الذي ضرب غرب أفغانستان، صباح الأحد، بقوة 6.3 درجة على مقياس ريختر، إلى مقتل شخص على الأقل وإصابة 93 آخرين، بحسب ما أعلنه كبير الأطباء في مستشفى هيرات الإقليمي عبد القديم. المحمدي.
ونقلت قناة فرانس 24 الإخبارية، في نشرتها الناطقة باللغة الإنجليزية، عن هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية، أن الزلزال وقع بعد الساعة الثامنة صباحا بالتوقيت المحلي، وكان مركزه على بعد 33 كيلومترا شمال غرب مدينة هرات، عاصمة الإقليم. مقاطعة تحمل نفس الاسم.
وأشارت القناة الإخبارية إلى أن الزلزال أعقبته هزة ارتدادية بقوة 5.5 درجة على مقياس ريختر، بعد 20 دقيقة.
وتأتي هذه التطورات بعد أسبوع من وقوع زلازل قوية وهزات ارتدادية أخرى أدت إلى مقتل آلاف الأشخاص وتسوية قرى بأكملها بالأرض في نفس المنطقة في غرب أفغانستان.
