دعا العاهل الأردني الملك عبد الله الثاني المجتمع الدولي إلى تحمل مسؤولياته في تقديم الدعم اللازم للأونروا في ظل التحديات التي تواجهها في تقديم خدماتها خاصة في قطاع غزة.
جاء ذلك خلال استقبال العاهل الأردني، اليوم الاثنين، المفوض العام لوكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (الأونروا) فيليب لازاريني، بحضور ولي العهد الأمير الحسين بن عبد الله الثاني.
وأكد جلالة الملك، خلال اللقاء، بحسب بيان الديوان الملكي، ضرورة الوقف الفوري للحرب على غزة، وحماية المدنيين، وإيصال المساعدات الإنسانية إلى هناك دون انقطاع.
وشدد على أهمية عدم عرقلة عمل المنظمات الدولية أثناء قيامها بواجباتها الإنسانية في غزة، محذرا من استمرار تدهور الأوضاع في القطاع.
وحضر اللقاء نائب رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين الأردني أيمن الصفدي ومدير مكتب جلالة الملك الدكتور جعفر الحسن.
