وجدد العاهل الأردني الملك عبد الله الثاني موقف بلاده الداعي إلى ضرورة تكثيف الجهود الدولية لوقف الحرب على قطاع غزة ومنع اتساع دائرة الصراع في المنطقة.
وجاء في بيان الديوان الملكي الأحد، أن العاهل الأردني التقى أمس السبت، رئيس حكومة تصريف الأعمال في لبنان نجيب ميقاتي، لبحث التطورات الخطيرة في غزة.
وشدد العاهل الأردني، خلال اللقاء الذي حضره ولي العهد الأمير الحسين بن عبد الله الثاني، على أهمية إيصال المساعدات الإنسانية دون انقطاع إلى الأشقاء في غزة ودعم المنظمات الإغاثية الدولية العاملة في القطاع، مؤكدا دعم الأردن لجهود الأشقاء اللبنانيين لتعزيز استقرارهم.
من جانبه أشاد رئيس حكومة تصريف الأعمال في لبنان بجهود الأردن في دفاع الملك عبد الله عن القضايا العربية والعمل على تحقيق السلام والاستقرار.
كما أكد خلال اتصال هاتفي تلقاه من الرئيس القبرصي نيكوس خريستودوليدس، ضرورة وقف الحرب على غزة وفرض هدنة إنسانية.
وجدد الملك عبد الله الثاني الدعوة إلى تكثيف الجهود الدولية لضمان وصول المساعدات الإنسانية إلى غزة بشكل مستدام، مؤكدا أهمية دعم المنظمات الإغاثية الدولية العاملة في القطاع وعدم عرقلة عملها.
