منظمة الصحة العالمية: 160 طفلا فلسطينيا يقتلون يوميا في غزة
وقال كريستيان لاندماير، المتحدث باسم منظمة الصحة العالمية، إن 160 طفلا فلسطينيا في المتوسط يقتلون يوميا في قطاع غزة، وفقا لأرقام وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية.
وأشار المتحدث إلى أنه لا شيء يبرر الرعب الذي يعانيه المدنيون في غزة، حيث يموتون بالآلاف، بينما يعاني من بقي منهم على قيد الحياة من الصدمات النفسية والأمراض ونقص الغذاء والماء. وشدد لاندماير على أن سكان غزة بحاجة إلى الماء والوقود والغذاء والوصول الآمن إلى الرعاية الصحية من أجل البقاء. .
وأضاف المتحدث باسم منظمة الصحة العالمية أنه من الصعب فهم مستوى الوفيات والمعاناة في غزة، خاصة أن ما يقل قليلا عن 0.5% من سكان غزة، أي 10 آلاف شخص، قتلوا من أصل 2.1 مليون نسمة.
وأعرب المتحدث عن تقدير المنظمة الدولية لشجاعة العاملين الصحيين الذين يواصلون عملهم في غزة، الأمر الذي يجعل النظام الصحي يعمل رغم كل الصعوبات، مع انعدام الوقود تقريبا لتشغيل المولدات الكهربائية، وتضاؤل مخزون الإمدادات، وممرات العلاج. وتكتظ مرافقها بالجرحى والأشخاص الذين يبحثون عن مأوى، ويعملون تحت ضغط مستمر دون راحة.
وأشار إلى أن هؤلاء الأشخاص الذين يحافظون على استمرارية النظام الصحي في غزة ومن خلال تفانيهم وجدوا بطريقة أو بأخرى طريقة للحفاظ على مستوى معين من الخدمة.
