المدير الإقليمي لمنظمة الصحة العالمية يوجه نداء عاجل من أجل الإنسانية فى غزة
وقال الدكتور أحمد المنظري، المدير الإقليمي لشرق المتوسط لمنظمة الصحة العالمية، إن شهرا كاملا مر وأهل غزة يعانون معاناة لا يمكن تصورها.
وأضاف في بيان، أن كل يوم يموت المئات منهم، ويصاب مئات آخرون بجروح خطيرة، دون أن يتلقوا الرعاية اللازمة لإنقاذ حياتهم لعدم توفر كل ما يلزم لذلك. ولكم أن تتخيلوا حجم الألم الذي يعيشه هؤلاء الأشخاص، فهم غير قادرين على الحصول على المساعدة الطبية التي يحتاجون إليها. إنهم بحاجة إليها.
وإلى جانب المرضى والجرحى، نزح أكثر من مليون ونصف المليون شخص، ليجدوا أنفسهم يعيشون في ملاجئ مكتظة، ويفتقرون إلى الضروريات الأساسية مثل المياه الصالحة للشرب والمراحيض، ويواجهون الأمراض المتفشية.
ولا تمثل المساعدات التي تمكنت المنظمة من تقديمها حتى الآن سوى قطرة في محيط، نظراً للاحتياجات الهائلة التي يتعين على المستشفيات تلبيتها في وقت تكاد تنهار فيه، ناهيك عن الهجمات على الرعاية الصحية التي تزرع الخوف. في الأماكن التي من المفترض أن تمثل الأمل للناس.
إننا نطالب بوقف إطلاق النار، وفتح الطريق أمام وصول المساعدات دون عوائق، وحماية الرعاية الصحية، وإطلاق سراح الرهائن، من أجل تحقيق هذا السباق مع الزمن لإنقاذ الأرواح ومنع المزيد من المعاناة.
أتمنى أن تنضموا إلينا في دعوتنا للسلام لإنهاء هذه الأزمة التي تكاد القلوب تبكي منها، فهناك نفوس كثيرة تنتظر الاستجابة لذلك النداء.
