وأضاف بايدن: “سنستهدف الحرس الثوري الإيراني والجماعات التابعة له في سوريا مجددا إذا اضطررنا لذلك”.
ومنذ بدء التصعيد الإسرائيلي، تلقت إيران أكثر من تحذير أميركي من الانخراط في الحرب عبر وكلائها في المنطقة.
وشنت الولايات المتحدة ضربات استهدفت منشأة في شرق سوريا، قالت وزارة الدفاع الأميركية (بنتاغون) إن الحرس الثوري الإيراني والجماعات التابعة له كانوا يستخدمونها، وذلك للمرة الثانية في غضون أسابيع.وذكر وزير الدفاع لويد أوستن في بيان، الخميس، أن الضربات نفذتها مقاتلتان من طراز “إف 15″، وجاءت ردا على الهجمات التي استهدفت القوات الأميركية في العراق وسوريا في الآونة الأخيرة، حسبما نقلت “رويترز”.
وأعلنت “البنتاغون”، أن الضربات جاءت ردا على هجمات مسلحين تابعين لفيلق القدس بالحرس الثوري الإيراني لمواقع أميركية في كل من سوريا والعراق.
وقبل أيام حذرت إيران الولايات المتحدة من أنها “ستتعرض للضرب بقوة” إذا لم تتدخل لوقف إطلاق النار في غزة، حسبما نقلت وكالة أنباء “تسنيم” شبه الرسمية عن وزير الدفاع الإيراني.
وقال الوزير محمد رضا أشتياني: “نصيحتنا للأميركيين هي أن يوقفوا الحرب في غزة فورا ويطبقوا وقف إطلاق النار، وإلا فسيتعرضون لضربة شديدة”.
