كشف وزير الطيران النيجيري فيستوس كيامو عن الاستعداد لإبرام مذكرة تفاهم مع الجزائر تتعلق بخط طيران مباشر بين البلدين، وهو ما يمثل إحياء لاتفاقية الخدمات الجوية الثنائية المبرمة منذ عقود..
ويتزامن هذا الاتفاق مع زيارة وفد جزائري إلى العاصمة النيجيرية (أبوجا)، حيث من المقرر إطلاق الخط الجوي المباشر بين الجزائر ونيجيريا خلال الأشهر القليلة المقبلة..
وقال وزير الطيران النيجيري، إن الجانب الجزائري يرغب في إضافة خط بين الجزائر وأبوجا، إضافة إلى إحياء الخط بين الجزائر ولاجوس، فيما أعربت شركة الطيران النيجيرية عن فتح خط إلى مدينة وهران الجزائرية..
وأضاف أنه من المنتظر أن يتم التوقيع على الاتفاقية قريبا، مشيرا إلى أن هذا التعاون سيسهم في تخفيض أسعار تذاكر الطيران لصالح نيجيريا، فضلا عن الفائدة التي ستعود على الجانب الجزائري..
بدوره، أكد سفير الجزائر لدى نيجيريا حسين لاتلي، أن إقامة شراكة قوية يجب أن تعتمد على الرحلات الجوية المباشرة بين البلدين، مشيرا إلى أهمية التوصل إلى النقاط المشتركة الأساسية في هذا الاتفاق..
