تنتهي المدة القانونية المحددة للمرشحين في الانتخابات الرئاسية للتنازل عن ترشحهم لخوض السباق الانتخابي غدا الأربعاء، ويجب نشر التنازل في الجريدة الرسمية خلال يومين من تاريخ التنازل، وفقا للجدول الزمني. للإجراءات الانتخابية التي تحددها الهيئة الوطنية للانتخابات برئاسة المستشار حازم بدوي رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة.
أعلنت الهيئة الوطنية للانتخابات القائمة النهائية للمرشحين للانتخابات الرئاسية مع رموزهم الانتخابية. وجاءت الأسماء بالترتيب: المرشح الرئاسي عبد الفتاح السيسي رمز النجمة؛ والمرشح الرئاسي فريد زهران، رئيس الحزب المصري الديمقراطي، رمز الشمس؛ المرشح الرئاسي عبد السند اليمامة، رئيس حزب الوفد، رمز النخلة؛ والمرشح الرئاسي حازم. ويعد عمر رمزا للسلام، وتم إطلاق الدعاية الانتخابية للمرشحين استعدادا لعملية تصويت المصريين في الخارج أيام 1 و2 و3 ديسمبر، بينما ستجرى في الداخل أيام 10 و11 و12 ديسمبر.
وتلقى وكلاء المرشحين خطابات من الهيئة الوطنية للانتخابات، باسم كل منهم، للسماح لكل مرشح بفتح حساب بنكي مخصص لمصاريف الدعاية الانتخابية في أحد البنكين: البنك الأهلي المصري أو البنك المركزي المصري. مصر، حيث يتم تعقب المبالغ المالية التي يودعها باسمه في ذلك الحساب، أو تلك التي يتلقاها. من المتبرعين لحملته ونفقاتها، في ضوء ما ينص عليه القانون في هذا الشأن، والتي لا تتجاوز في مجملها 20 مليون جنيه، و5 ملايين جنيه في حالة الإعادة.
وينص القانون على أنه يجوز لكل مرشح أن يتلقى تبرعات نقدية أو عينية من الأشخاص الطبيعيين المصريين، على ألا يتجاوز مبلغ التبرع 2% من الحد الأقصى للإنفاق على الحملة الانتخابية.
تتابع الهيئة الوطنية للانتخابات، بالتنسيق مع الوزارات والجهات المعنية، كافة الاستعدادات للترتيبات اللازمة لتشكيل اللجان الانتخابية العامة بمختلف محافظات الجمهورية، واللجان الفرعية التابعة لكل منها والتي يتم الإشراف عليها. من قبل أعضاء الهيئات والهيئات القضائية المختلفة، بالإضافة إلى كافة الأوراق اللازمة للعملية الانتخابية بعد انتهاء المدة القانونية. امتيازات محددة وكذلك التواصل مع هيئة الأبنية التعليمية لتحديد مواقع المراكز الانتخابية.
