الإمارات تحتفل غدا بالذكرى الـ52 للعيد الوطنى
تحتفل دولة الإمارات باليوم الوطني الثاني والخمسين لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وهو اليوم الذي يوثق ذكرى اتحاد الإمارات وإعلان قيام الدولة في 2 ديسمبر 1971. وقد أصبح من أهم المناسبات الوطنية في الدولة طيران الإمارات، والتي يتم خلالها إغلاق الدوائر الحكومية والخاصة يومي 2 و3 ديسمبر.
وتكتسب المناسبة هذا العام أهمية خاصة لأنها تتزامن مع فعاليات كوب 28 التي تستضيفها دبي بمشاركة 200 دولة و500 ألف شخص من مختلف أنحاء العالم.
تعود فكرة اتحاد الإمارات إلى مؤسسها الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، الذي كان يحكم إمارة أبوظبي منذ 6 أغسطس 1966، قبل أن يتولى منصب رئيس الدولة. وخلال تلك الفترة، وعمل على تعزيز العلاقات مع إمارات الساحل المتصالح، بهدف جعل الاتحاد نواة للوحدة العربية. وحماية الساحل والثروة النفطية المتوقعة فيه تتعارض مع أطماع الدول، لذا دعا حكام الإمارات الخمس المتصالحة الأخرى، بالإضافة إلى البحرين وقطر، إلى المشاركة في مفاوضات تشكيل الاتحاد.
وفي فبراير 1968م، تمت الخطوة الأولى في تحقيق الاتحاد بعقد أول لقاء وحدوي بين الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان والشيخ راشد بن سعيد آل مكتوم في منطقة السمحة الواقعة بين أبوظبي ودبي. ثم اجتمع حكام الإمارات المتصالحة في دبي بدعوة من الشيخين خلال الفترة من 25 حتى 27 فبراير، واتفق الحاضرون على إنشاء اتحاد دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
