وفي فيلم «جوري»، يلعب الفنان كريم عفيفي دور شاب طموح يقوم بعدد من المشاريع التجارية، من بينها امتلاك «عربة الفول» في إحدى المناطق الشعبية. الفيلم بطولة هيفاء وهبي، تأليف هيثم سعيد، وإخراج ماركوس عادل.
يذكر أن الفنان الكوميدي كريم عفيفي حل ضيفاً على برنامج “ملوك الترند” الذي يعرض على قناة “اليوم السابع” ويقدمه زميله الإعلامي عادل عبد الله. وقال عفيفي، في لقائه، إنه تخرج في كلية التجارة بعد ما يقرب من 11 عاما، مضيفا أنه كان يحلم بأن يصبح مغنيا، وكان يتخيل نفسه دائما واقفاً على المسرح ويغني.
وأضاف عفيفي في حواره أنه بدأ دخوله مجال التمثيل بالصدفة، حيث كان ذات يوم في الجامعة وعلم أن مسرح الجامعة به مكيف هواء يمكن أن يساعده في التخلص من الحرارة الشديدة. وعندما ذهب إلى المسرح، اضطر إلى المشاركة في فريق التمثيل حتى يتمكن من الجلوس في المسرح، وفي ذلك الوقت اضطر إلى الانضمام إلى فريق التمثيل. اكتشف من خلالها حبه للتمثيل وأن لديه موهبة. انقلبت حياته رأساً على عقب بعد تلك الصدفة الغريبة، رغم أنه كان يتمنى أن يعمل نقاشاً أو حلاقاً.
