البيت الأبيض: كامالا هاريس تعتزم المشاركة فى مؤتمر (COP28) بالإمارات
قال البيت الأبيض، اليوم الأربعاء، إن نائبة الرئيس الأمريكي كامالا هاريس تعتزم السفر إلى دبي بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، خلال الفترة من 1 إلى 2 ديسمبر المقبل، لحضور المؤتمر الثامن والعشرين للأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية بشأن تغير المناخ (COP28).
وأوضح موقع البيت الأبيض اليوم أن هاريس ستؤكد على نجاح إدارة الرئيس الأميركي جو بايدن في تنفيذ أجندة المناخ الأكثر طموحا في التاريخ، سواء في الداخل أو الخارج، بحسب الموقع.
وأشار البيت الأبيض إلى أن نائبة الرئيس ستنضم إلى العشرات من كبار المسؤولين الأميركيين الذين يمثلون أكثر من 20 وزارة ووكالة أميركية في ذلك المؤتمر، كما ستواصل قيادة إدارة بايدن فيما يتعلق بالأنشطة العالمية لمعالجة أزمة المناخ وتعزيز أهداف المناخ الأميركية. بالإضافة إلى المساعدة في ضمان تحقيق نتيجة قوية في مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة لتغير المناخ (COP28).
وشدد الموقع على أن إدارة بايدن تثمن عمل دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة والرئيس محمد بن زايد في تنظيم هذا الحدث العالمي المهم.
